The key for me to losing weight and eating right is sustainability. I don’t diet, because diets aren’t sustainable. They are short term fixes for a long term problem. That’s why it’s a nutrition and exercise plan.
I have a friend who is very determined that his way is the best way, and he was trying to tell me that my exercises were wrong, that I should run, sometimes in the freezing cold, and barefoot when possible, that I should do this and that etc. But screw that. I hate running and I hate cold and I like wearing shoes. Why would I subject myself to something I would triply hate doing? It may give me the short term results I might want to see but it’s not sustainable in the long run.
Find something you like doing. Find something that helps you achieve your goals that is something you would want to do the rest of your life. Then you will find the body and the lifestyle you are looking for.
